Recently Windows 10 had its first anniversary. I have to admit that I used to be a Microsoft OS fan. I still remember when I installed Windows 95 for first time… I called it the best OS ever… didn’t use Millennium/vista… Once my Windows 98 got obsoleted, I jumped to XP … it really showed the experience of Microsoft developing OS for Desktops.
Things changed and since XP.. Windows 7 was my preferred OS. I had to change/update my pc again, but rather to think about upgrading to Windows 10 for Free …. (I never considered installing Windows 8) now I am a happy Linux user.
My thought after running Linux as my only OS
Linux provides more stability. It is an order of magnitude more stable and reliable. I like the Linux Interface, Mint is much, much nicer to use and ergonomic. Once you get a little versed in the CLI tools, you can be a full blown legit sysadmin and do everything very quickly (and easily!) in the CLI… In addition, Linux is Easier/Faster/Better Install. Everything you need is pre-installed: Firefox, VLC, Libreoffice and Thunderbird. and finally Linux is more efficient to run multiple applications at once and nothing like multiple desktops.
